Trip: Lake Kaindy is located at a distance of 288 km from Almaty. It is possible to get there by car. Most of the route is along the highway (about 190 km along the Kuldzhinskiy tract). Before reaching the village of Saty about 700-800 meters, you will need to turn left, in the gorge (turn opposite the mazars). Be prepared that you will have to ford the river twice. In addition, you will encounter quite steep descents and ascents, so this road can be overcome only by vehicles with high cross-country ability. Near the forester's house you will be waiting for a barrier, where you will have to pay an ecotax (Lake Kaiyndy is located in the territory of the national park "Kolsai Lakes"). Then the road goes along the birch forest, which gave the lake its name. Now the river will be on your left side all the time. Right after the grove, the road will come to a clearing - people usually leave their cars here and walk to the lake (the road will take no more than a quarter of an hour). |
